Want to hear something really amazing? I honestly do not care whether or not someone likes Pokémon! No, really. It’s none of my business and has nothing to do with me. As long as anyone who hates Pokémon does not go and attack anyone who does (or anyone who likes Pokémon does not attack Pokémon haters) I do not care. Leave each other alone, guys.
Only sheep change their opinion on something after seeing one person's take on Why You Should [Not] Hate This. It is one thing for there to be a site against something - Anti-Shur'tugal is an example of a successful anti-Eragon site - but what is the point in trying to dissuade people who happen to like or dislike the subject matter? Provide reasons for why you do or do not like the material, sure. Hope that you convince someone who does not really have an opinion on the matter, fine. Get in someone's face about how dare they have a different opinion? Go DIE IN A FIRE. It's not your issue!
Sure, maybe if you have a valid point - most of the stuff on Anti-Shurtugal would fall in that category - people might change their opinions based on your ranting. But otherwise? Good luck with that, mate: I'll be over here with the coffee.
People who hate Pokémon are not going to change their minds because one person wrote an essay on how their assumptions are based on fallacy. It's pointless to even try: if they aren't going to listen the first time, why would they listen the hundredth time that someone argues with them? Fact quite often won't change someone's mind; why would opinion do it?
In summary, Anti-Pokémon sucks. Anti-Anti-Pokémon really sucks (why isn't it just Pro-Pokémon?). Eragon sucks. Anti-Shurtugal is decent, but the idea as a whole sucks.
